Final Project Update 2

This is my cartoon so far. I may add some more scenes. I still have to make transitions between scenes and add audio.

Final Project Update

My final project is finally moving along. I ended up having to completely change the concept because things weren't working out. Creating a flipbook is hard enough when you're just doing a ball bouncing for example, and trying to make a whole cartoon is nearly impossible. I had starting making the drawings for this and then I realized that I was never going to finish by the end of the semester. I decided to just do a regular cartoon with the same idea and script, it just won't be a flipbook. I am still working on the drawings, but it is coming together nicely.

Shooting Script

There is no actual dialogue in my project. I will be adding music and sound effects (that are not copyrighted). I will be including thought bubbles at times for the characters and adding text to narrate certain scenes. Since I have to draw each movement of each scene individually, I really want the video to be short and sweet, and it will be about 3 minutes long.

Characters:
Fred: Zombie boy
Georgina: Zombie girl
Background zombies will be used as needed.

Scene 1: Fred is shuffling along the highway looking for food, when he sees Georgina walking up from the other side of the highway.

Scene 2: Fred thinks that Georgina is the most beautiful zombie girl he has ever seen and decides to share his brains with her.

Scene 3: Fred and Georgina enjoy a romantic picnic near the highway.

Scene 4: Fred and Georgina fall in love. They continue shuffling along the highway in search of more food.

Scene 5: Fred and Georgina are shuffling towards the sunset holding hands.

Group Project

Video can be seen here.

Roles:  Director                      Stephanie Zak
            Scriptwriter               Daniella Connelly
            Visual Affects             Richele Young
            Composer                   Michael Lapolla
Script: A day in the Life of a Dog
Summary:      A short film that captures the everyday life of a dog. The script will
take on the dog’s mind and bring you through a typical day. In
doing so the story hopes to open up the mind of the viewer in a
humorous way to show how differently life is perceived from different
                        creatures.
Characters: Dog
Scene 1: Daybreak
Opens with shot of dog lounging in his bed. It is morning.
Dog:                Oh bother! Is it that time again? I guess I must wake from my slumber
and go greet master in the food lounge. I wonder what will be
prepared this morning for my breakfast.
[Shows Dog walking towards kitchen.]
[End Scene.]
Scene 2: Master greetings
Dog wags tail and is being pet by his owner in the kitchen.
Dog:                Oh how nice it is to see you this morning. I trust you slept well master? I slept quite lovely.
[Shows dog eating out of his bowl and his owner eating at the table.]
Dog:                What an exquisitely delightful food. So rich in taste I must say!
[End Scene.]
Scene 3: Looking through the Glass
Dog is sitting looking out the window
Dog:                I wonder what nonsense the squirrels will play today. Surely they will be entertaining.
[Doorbell sounds.]
[Dog looks alarmed.]
Dog:                Oh my! The house has summoned a visitor! It is much too early for
this. I have not even had the chance to have my morning tea. What a
dreadful interruption to my morning viewing of the squirrels
[Dog walks to the door.]
[Dog jumps up onto the windowsill to see the mailman walking away.]
Dog:                I should have known it was that gentleman who brings us all those
pieces of paper.  I must be getting old! You’d think I was ten instead of
                        two!
[End Scene.]
Scene 4: Warm Welcome
Dog lies in front of the fireplace relaxing. Sun is setting outside.
Dog:                What a splendid fire! I do believe master should be arriving shortly.
Especially since that brilliant yellow ball outside has fallen quite a bit
                        since morning.
[Dog looks out window and sees the owner driving up in his car outside.]
Dog:                Ah yes finally my companion has returned from that mystical moving
                        device.
[Owner walks in door and dog wags his tail smiling to greet him.]
Dog:                Master! Master! You are home!
[End Scene.]
Scene 5: A Day’s End
The dog is lying on the master’s lap on the couch near the fireplace. The owner is reading a book and the dog lay nuzzled in his lap.
Dog:                I believe this is the life if I do say so myself Master. What a lovely way
to end such a splendid day. Now if you don’t mind I think I may just
                        doze off. Good night Master.
[End Scene.]

Group Project

I want to add that the default time in the program I'm using for each picture is 7 seconds. Let me know if this is too long or too short and I can change it. I can always add or remove pictures.
