I wanted to make a sequence of images documenting my boyfriend's fitness progress. He is training to be a bodybuilder and is competing in his first competition this March. I think the images and captions tell his story really well without the use of sound.

Visual Sequence
I wanted to make a sequence of images documenting my boyfriend's fitness progress. He is training to be a bodybuilder and is competing in his first competition this March. I think the images and captions tell his story really well without the use of sound.
The Pitch, Budget, Storyboard/Flowchart/Timeline
Imaginary Storyboard Project:
Storyboards aren't really thing. I have never made one before and I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing. I think I came up with a decent idea but it's hard for me to choose one topic when I could have made the storyboard be about literally anything. I do like how these kinds of projects allow us to be creative though.
Final Project:
My idea is to create a flip book style cartoon and do a short story frame by frame. I was inspired by the movie coming out called Warm Bodies, which is about a zombie who still has some human capabilities and falls in love with a girl. I'm not sure if I would draw the images by hand or do them digitally, and then put all of the images together at high speed to make it look like an actual cartoon. I think I would like to add music to this, but actual audio dialogue may be too much for me to try learn how to do, along with designing and editing this. I want to start working on a storyboard asap and then take it from there. As far as budget goes, I have all the software I need, so I don't think I'll need to spend any money.

Media Arts Skills Sets
I know some Photoshop, some Flash, some Illustrator and some Dreamweaver (all CS5). I would say am at an intermediate to advanced level with Photoshop and Dreamweaver, and a beginner with Flash and Illustrator.
The only experience I have it creating digital art projects
and websites in my classes. I’m 21, a full-time student and I work part-time at
Walgreens, I don’t have any “real” design experience. I have also never
collaborated with anyone on this kind of project. For my final project, I would
like to create a cartoon. I have never made a cartoon before so I’m not sure
how I’m going to make it work yet.
Non-Linear Flowchart
The concept for my flowchart is a healthy eating campaign. It would begin by talking about the different food groups, what they are, how much you should eat in a day etc. Next it would go into the benefits of each food group and demonstrate how these food groups work together to keep people healthy. Some food groups have some of the same benefits so someone could jump around the content within the flowchart.

What is Media Arts?
To me, media arts is artwork that is made using a combination of audio and visual components. This could be digital art, a video, an animation, video game, etc. There is a lot of technology available to create media for a variety of different devices. When I think of media, I think of something that moves, which is what makes media art different than traditional art.
I found on list from Wikipedia of all the types of media art:
